Équipe d’Accueil 2984, le CRHISM est membre de l’Idem (Institut des Méditerranées), fédération de recherche des équipes en sciences sociales et humaines de l’Université de Perpignan Via Domitia. Il est rattaché à l’École Doctorale 544 INTER-MÉD.
Les travaux menés au sein de l’Unité de Recherche s’organisent autour du thème général « Histoire, arts et patrimoine des sociétés méditerranéennes ».
Ils ont plus particulièrement pour objectif de saisir les dynamiques d’un espace, la Méditerranée occidentale, à travers une approche pluridisciplinaire associant histoire, histoire des arts et archéologie.

Research topics History, Arts and Heritage of Mediterranean societies
The works led within the Unit of Research all deal with the theme “History, Arts and Heritage of Mediterranean societies.” In particular, they aim to capture the dynamics of a space, the western Mediterranean, through a multidisciplinary approach combining history, art history and archeology. At the heart of the Centre of problems are mobility issues, trade, traffic and transportation in a context of boundaries and in a world of both land and sea. This is a set of structural elements that cross the lines around which all orientations are divided for the CRHiSM Research.
The researches made in the CRHiSM get organized around the general theme ” History, Arts and Heritage of the Mediterranean societies”. They have more particularly for objective to seize the dynamics of a space, the western Mediterranean area, through a multidisciplinary approach associating history, art history and archaeology. The questions of mobility, exchanges, circulation and transferts, in a context of borders and in an at once ground and maritime world, are central.
Themes and research teams
Three research topics, about the Mediterranean Societies History have been identified (2011-2014 program). They are complementary, each one constituting a methodological time for an historical approach that we endeavour to develop and which aims to examine the occidental Mediterranean world over a long period (from the Antiquity to the contemporary time), and this, through the entire corpus of available documentary.
Axis 1. Production, exchanges, mobilities
- From the production to consumption: economic actors and institutions; territorial dynamics of the
development
- Migrations and mobilities: commercial networks, trade exchanges; mobilities of populations
- Historic Landscapes: history and archaeology of the populating, the housing environment, the
resources
- Archaeology and heritage of places of production, marketing and storage
Axis 2. Arts, heritages, representation
- Social History of art: crafts and artistic; social status of the artist
- Creation, reception and transfer of models in the plastic arts and the architecture
- Hispanic Art history: historiography, identities and cosmopolitanism in the art roussillonnais
- Iconographic Analysis and social representation: iconography and film speech
Axis 3. Standards and transgressions in the Mediterranean societies
- Social construction standards in areas affected by the regions of written law
- breaks the rules, violence and its representations

- Secondary coordinator of the White Program of the Packaging and Food Packaging. So, the CRHiSM
is associated with an European research group: EWOL European ways of Life in ‘the American
Century’: Mediating Consumption and Technology in the Twentieth Century, Collaborative Research

Temàtica general: Història, art i patrimonis de les societats mediterrànies
L’activitat de l’equip de recerca s’organitza al voltant d’un tema general, Història, arts i patrimonis de les societats mediterrànies i té com a objectiu específic la comprensió de les dinàmiques d’un espai, el de la Mediterrània occidental, a través d’una perspectiva pluridisciplinar que associa història, història de l’art i arqueologia.
Les qüestions de mobilitat, d’intercanvi, de circulació i de transferència en un context a la vegada marítim i terrestre constitueixen el nucli de l’activitat del centre de recerca i son al mateix temps elements d’estructuració del conjunt dels eixos d’investigació que reuneixen totes les orientacions de l’activitat investigadora.

- De la producció fins al consum: actors i institucions de l’economia, dinàmiques territorials del
desenvolupament.
- Migracions i mobilitats: xarxes comercials, intercanvis mercantils, mobilitat de les poblacions.
- Paisatges històrics: història i arqueologia de la població, de l’hàbitat, dels recursos.
- Arqueologia i patrimoni dels llocs de producció, de comercialització i d’emmagatzematge.

- Història social de l’art: oficis de l’artesanat i de l’art; estatut social de l’artista, comanda…
- Creació, recepció i traspàs de models en les arts plàstiques i l’arquitectura.
- Història de l’art hispànic: historiografia, identitats i cosmopolitisme en l’art rossellonès.
- Anàlisi iconogràfica i representació social: iconografia i discurs cinematogràfic.

- Construcció social de les normes als territoris dels antics països de dret escrit.

Temática general Historia, arte y patrimonios de las sociedades mediterráneas
La actividades del equipo investigador se organizan en torno a un tema general Historia, artes y patrimonio de las sociedades mediterráneas y tienen particularmente por objetivo la comprensión de las dinámicas de un espacio, el mediterráneo occidental, a través de una dinámica pluridisciplinar que asocia historia, historia del arte y arqueología. Les cuestiones de movilidad, de intercambio de circulación y de transferencias en un contexto a la vez marítimo y terrestre constituyen el nucleo de la actividad del centro investigador y son elementos estructuradores del conjunto de los ejes de investigación que agrupan el conjunto de orientaciones de la investigación.
