The University of Perpignan Via Domitia is an academic centre offering the student the opportunity for personal, social and intellectual fulfilment. Its assets: a wide range of subjects; educational facilities adapted to research facilities, with its 22 laboratories and two schools of Doctoral Studies; a lively and convivial campus centred around a grove of Mediterranean pine trees; and a complement of around 10,600 students of whom 3,500 are foreign students from a hundred different countries.
Apart from its academic mission, the University is also a meeting point, a centre for discussion and social interaction.
On campus, under the pine trees, you will meet other students who will tell you about the many different activities available: sport, artistic and cultural activities, entertainment, and introductory courses of all kinds.
The University is also a place for discussion, and involvement in civic affairs, in which you can participate as a member of one of the many clubs or as an elected representative on one of the three university councils.
